Origins: Imported hybrid
Bloom: fairly traditional ionantha bloom; blushing foliage, hidden bracts, purple tubular flowers
Light: Strong indirect or filtered light, some direct light okay
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry prior to next watering. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 2 hours as necessary. Be sure to thoroughly dry base after soaking to avoid rotting
What a cool hybrid! I assume the other parent is bulbosa given the bright green glaborous leaves that have a slight red margin typical of bulbosa. Unlike most bulbosa hybrids however, this plant has perfectly straight leaves, so perhaps not? Either way, very fun plant. Produces nice blushes of color and has some good size.
After acquiring this hybrid I realized there were two different grexes; a grex that holds bright green color in its leaves, which are slightly thicker and more erect. Then there was a grex with red leaves year round that were longer and thinner. See photos before deciding which pup you want!
