Shipping Info

Thanks to the nature of air plants, these plants ship pretty well! It is my goal to package each order safely and efficiently to minimize cost to you and ensure the well being of the plants.  Here is some general information about shipping to hopefully give you the confidence that your order is in safe hands:

  • Orders placed Monday - Wednesday will be shipped within 48 hours of order, usually less than that.  All orders placed Thursday - Sunday will ship out on Monday morning.
  • Plants will be packaged carefully in newspaper to avoid leaf damage.  I will do everything within my power to avoid damage in the packaging process; if plants arrive damaged please contact me within 48 hours of receiving your package.
  • One plant per species will be tagged with the species name.  If you order 10 different plants, each will be tagged; if you order 10 of the same plant, one will be tagged.
  • Getting the weight of each plant and each order exactly correct is tricky as each plant is slightly different.  It is my guarantee that if you were overcharged on shipping, you will be refunded the difference.  I do not want to make money on shipping, I want to make my pricing as low as possible for each customer. Inversely, if the cost of shipping your order far exceeds what you paid, an invoice will be sent via PayPal to cover the difference
  • I do what I can to be competitive with shipping prices, but please understand that it is very challenging for small business owners to compete with the shipping features and prices a company like Amazon can offer.  If shipping seems high, please know that the listed shipping prices are the lowest possible prices I can offer while keeping the prices of my plants very affordable and competitive.
  • If you live in a cold area or are ordering during a particularly cold time of year, please consider adding a heat pack to your order from the air plant accessories page.  Unfortunately I cannot offer this feature on the checkout page at this time, so if you do not add one to your order, you will receive a follow up email asking one last time if you want one.  Whether you add a heat pack or not, I cannot be responsible for any damage caused due to weather or transit delays
  • Orders over $100 qualify for free ground shipping. An upgrade to Priority shipping is $5. Simply select Priority mail and checkout, and I will refund you the difference
  • If you added a heat pack, you must select Priority Mail, I will not ship heated orders via ground as the heat packs only last 72-96 hours and most ground transit takes at least 96 hours
