Origins: Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica
Bloom: Depending on the region, the multiple bract sheaths of this bloom will be orange or red and will produce bicolored white and purple flowers
Ideal for: Outdoors
Light: Indirect or filtered light, shade
Water: Spray twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Add an extra watering to rehydrate during hotter and drier months
This isn't the easiest plant to care for as it's quite mesic and is sensitive to temperature, moisture level, and amount of air flow. If you find the right home and care for it, it will reward you by growing quite large and producing a very showy bloom. Produces many grass pups during its vegetative years
