While the exact parentage of this plant is unknown, the mystery parent is likely T. velickiana or T. matudae given the bloom and leaf shape. The general shape of the plant and the bract shape are where the T. magnusiana parentage shines through. This plant does tend to be on the thirstier side, the leaves regularly roll inward signifying under hydration
