This species has been involved in quite the controversy over the years! It is often confused with/mistaken for recurvifolia v subsecundifolia, along with several other species. True leonamiana should have lilac colored flowers and a red inflorescence; many plants labeled as leonamiana end up having white flowers which is either a natural hybrid or a different species entirely. Either way, the plants I have available are lovely and the ones I have had blue-ish/purple-ish flowers
