Origins: Ecuador, Peru
Bloom: Short compound inflorescence with multiple red bracts and small pink/magenta colored flowers. Bracts densely covered in trichomes
Ideal for: Indoors or Outdoors
Light: Strong indirect or filtered light, some direct light okay
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as needed
Formerly called murorum, this plant and several other varietals were reclassified as latifolias. The thin leaves stretch out quite far and blush purple in strong light. The bracts are densely covered in trichomes. I have had some of these produce pups on their bloomspikes, but not all are guaranteed to do that
