This cultivar is a select grex of the hybrid Joel, a cross of ionantha and bulbosa. This particular cultivar has densely stacked, upright foliage with red in the leaf margins and a slight spiral pattern to the leaf growth. Overall grows quite slow, but after several years will turn into a long, dense specimen plant producing vegetative offsets
