Bloom: Foliage turns red during bloom and produces several purple flowers from center of plant

Light: Strong indirect, partial to full sun
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary
Originally classified as ionantha Huamelula, several grexs' of varying genetic material were discovered all by the same name, so ionantha maxima was split off as its own variety. One of the larger ionanthas available, this variety grows thick recurving leaves and can tolerate full sun if transitioned into it.
