Origins: Found in Bolivia, from the collection of L. Hromadnik
Bloom: Short, simple inflorescence with a single wine red bract with purple scented flowers
Light: Strong indirect or filtered light
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, soak monthly to rehydrate up to 2 hours as necessary. Allow proper time and conditions for plant to thoroughly dry after any watering
This species, though found in a small area, has a lot of variation. Lotte Hromadnik had as many as 5 different forms of gerdae, though not all are described. This form I have has dark gray leaves, red bracts, and purple scented flowers. Stays relatively small, blooming at less than 6" tall. Produces pups outside of it's bloom period, forming small dense clumps over time
