Origins: Mexico
Bloom: Long, bright red simple inflorescence with purple tubular flowers
Light: Strong indirect and/or filtered light
Ideal for: Outdoors
Water: Spray leaves twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. As it is best potted, increasing the number of times you water is better than removing from soil to soak if you feel it's drying out
Foliosa is a real showstopper in bloom; the spike can be seen from far away which attracts many pollinators. This is a species that is best potted in bark or moss to aid in the shape of the plant and root growth. Can get quite large, with long, recurving, deep green leaves that blush purple with strong indirect or filtered light
I currently have them potted, but these will ship bare root. They recently finished blooming; the bloom spike will be cut off and it will be developing pups
