Origins: Manmade hybrid
Bloom: Similar to ionantha, foliage turns bright red with a short inflorescence and purple flowers
Ideal for: Outdoors
Light: Strong indirect, filtered, and/or partial sun
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary
This is a wonderful hybrid that can look like a giant ionantha. This species can grow up to 15" tall before putting on a beautiful bloom show. Great for mounting on driftwood as the roots are pretty prolific. Will blush red year round as seen in the second picture with increased exposure to light
