This is an awesome variant from a tried and true hybrid. Eric Knobloch is a well known hybrid; this is a form that will hold its color year round. My guess is because at some point a red form of streptophylla was crossed with brachycaulos creating this unique variant. Whatever its origins, this is a real stunner that provides a pop of color all year. I have seen the same plant sold as Love Knot, a capitata x streptophylla hybrid. I have capitata x streptophylla from a different grower that looks totally different, so who knows!
