Origins: Naturally occurring hybrid
Bloom: Red blush in the upper foliage with a short, compound inflorescence more closely resembling a concolor bloom. Produces purple tubular flowers
Light: Best in strong indirect light or filtered light, can handle some direct light
Ideal for: Indoors/Outdoors
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary.
This hybrid has been created many different ways, in some cases showing more of one parent than another. What I have available is a pretty balanced hybrid; the deep green slightly recurving leaves of brachycaulos with the size and stiffness of concolor. Easy to grow. Sometimes it has been called Tillandsia 'sparkler'; and sometimes it goes by Tillandsia kimosthensis. I choose the latter because that is how it reads in the registry
