Origins: Texas, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua

Bloom: Simple pink inflorescence with purple flowers

Ideal for: Outdoors

Light: Indirect to strong indirect light

Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours.  This is a thirsty fella so monthly soaks for up to 4 hours are a good idea to rehydrate

This is one of only a few Tillandsia that grow natively in the United States.  Ageotropic, this plant can be grown in any direction.  Hanging or mounting sideways or upside down will help ensure water doesn't get trapped in the slightly bulbous base
