Origins: Ecuador/Peru

Bloom: Simple inflorescence similar to narthecoides but the floral scapes are erect.  Produces small white fragrant flowers at night

Light: Strong indirect and/or filtered light

Water: Spray twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours.  Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary (may not be an option if you pot it, simply try and spray more frequently during warm and dry months.  Will require daily waterings during the summer)

Formerly in the genus Tillandsia, this unique plant was reclassified several years ago along with the other night bloomers.  This species likes moderate temperatures and good air flow.  Produces white fragrant flowers that only bloom at night from a pretty unique bloom structure.  Rarely see this one for sale! Does best potted or mounted
