Bloom: Intermediate length semi capitate inflorescence with a red stem and many red/orange bracts that emerge noticeably from the scapes. Upper foliage produces a beautiful muted red blush and flowers are pale purple
Light: Strong indirect or filtered light
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 2 hours as necessary
Not only does this plant have one of the coolest names in the genus, but it's got a stunning shape. Wide, stiff, green gray leaves densely stack and recurve as the plant matures, and the inflorescence which has a thick stem and beautiful color put on quite a show
