Origins: John Arden hybrid, formerly known as Tillandsia Lido
Bloom: Short, compound inflorescence with several stout red bracts that barely escape the center leaves, produces purple flowers. Upper foliage blushes red during bloom
Light: Strong indirect or filtered light
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary. Be sure to dry the center of the plant completely if you fully submerge it in water to avoid rotting
This clone of ionantha x seleriana is more than twice the size of most other grexes of this cross. This indicates seleriana had a stronger influence, especially because John used a form of seleriana from Mexico that grows large. A really cool, dense, bulbous plant
