Origins: Honduras
Bloom: Large, compound inflorescence that produces a bright pink inflorescence stem and large pale yellow floral bracts. Produces purple tubular flowers and entire bloom process takes up to a year (see photos for mature plant finishing bloom)
Light: Strong indirect, filtered, and/or partial direct light
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 2 hours as necessary
Copanensis is an all time favorite for me. It grows quite large and has thick, succulent dark gray leaves growing in a large open rosette shape. The inflorescence is what is truly spectacular about this species. Grows up to three feet tall in bloom and produces vibrant deep pink color from the stem of the spike. This is truly a show stopper in bloom!
