Origins: Hybrid created by Pam Koide
Bloom: Short, capitate inflorescence with red/salmon colored bracts that emerge slightly from the scapes, producing purple tubular flowers
Light: Strong indirect or filtered light, some direct light okay. Strong filtered light will produce year round blush
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 2 hours as necessary
This is a great hybrid if you're looking for something with year round color. This is a very similar cross to Steve Correale's Coconut Grove, but Pink Sorbet produces more color out of bloom and stays a little more compact, while Coconut Grove grows a bit larger and tends to color up more during bloom. Pink Sorbet also uses a form of capitata from Chiapas, MX that is more pink than red
