Origins: Mexico
Bloom: Short simple inflorescence that blushes pink with purple tubular flowers. Grows pups off the bloom spike
Ideal for: Outdoors
Light: Strong indirect or partial direct
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary. The more hydrated it is, the straighter the leaves will be. The less hydrated it is, the curlier it will be (don't leave it too under hydrated!)
Intermedia is one of only a few species that is pseudo-viviparous, meaning it can produce pups on its bloom spike and from the base of the plant, creating long chains over time. When under hydrated, the curls get more dramatic, and will release/straighten if soaked for a few hours
