Origins: Pam Koide hybrid
Bloom: Short to intermediate compound inflorescence producing many pink bracts and sheaths with purple tubular flowers
Light: Strong indirect and/or filtered light, some direct light okay
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, ideally allowing plant to completely dry off same day. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary, again ensuring plant dries off completely afterwards
This is one of the early complex hybrids (a hybrid using a hybrid as at least one of the parents). Pam found Tillandsia ehlersiana x Tillandsia seleriana growing as a natural hybrid in Mexico, and several years later she crossed it with Tillandsia seleriana. The result is a plant that is fairly large given the parentage. Leaves are long and slightly recurved, leaves have a dense scurf on them
