Origins: Manmade hybrid
Bloom: Very similar to houston 'cotton candy' but with a deeper, red hue to the bract. Large, pink/red bract on a small inflorescence with white flowers
Ideal for: Outdoors
Light: Strong indirect, filtered, and/or partial sun
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary
This is one species that by tillandsia standards grows pretty quickly. Houston is constantly pupping, quickly creating large clumps. The bloom of this species is nearly neon in color, but unfortunately only lasts for about two weeks
