Bloom: Simple, semi pendulant compound inflorescence with pink bracts and deep purple flowers
Ideal for: Indoors or Outdoors
Light: Indirect or filtered light, some direct light okay
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary
This is a recently described species (2018) formerly known as a tillandsia/vriesea closely related to tillandsia espinosae. Kickiae could be a natural hybrid of espinosae, with leaves that are scurfier and not quite as stiff as espinosae and a much different inflorescence. Grows pups off a short stolon (stem) making them easier to remove but also creates a cool structure if left on the mother plant
