Like many other grassy-type species, remota can grow into large clumps spherical clumps.  Remota is said to have fragrant flowers, but I have not personally noticed this on the ones I have bloomed.  Perhaps it is like usneoides and the fragrance is faint given how small and delicate the flower is.
