Origins: Imported hybrid from South American grower
Bloom: Haven't seen the bloom yet
Light: Strong indirect or filtered light. It appears stronger light will draw out a nice red color on this plant, but the leaves are fairly soft so no mid day direct sun unless you train it into it
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as needed. The base is bulbous so be sure to properly dry the plant after watering to avoid rotting
At first glance, I would guess this is a novakii hybrid crossed with streptophylla, or perhaps seleriana or caput medusae. It has a bulbous base with soft, lepidote leaves that are slightly wavy and curl at the tips. Plant produces a nice red hue in strong light, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the bloom! The plants available are the size of what you see in the photo
