Bloom: The foliage will turn bright red before, during, and after bloom while several purple tubular flowers erupt from the center of the plant
Ideal for: Indoors or Outdoors
Light: Adaptable, best in strong indirect light
Water: Spray or dunk once a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary
Rubra differs from other forms of ionantha by having a softer, decurving leaf that hosts a bevy of colors throughout the year when exposed to strong indirect light. Rubra, like other ionantha forms, produces many pups each bloom
