Origins: Natural hybrid
Bloom: Medium length compound inflorescence with a generally capitate appearance and many yellow bracts with red margins that emerge and produce purple flowers. Upper foliage blushes just like capitata peach or riohondoensis
Light: Strong indirect or filtered light, some direct light okay
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary. Be sure to dry the center of the plant completely if you fully submerge it in water to avoid rotting
This was originally imported from Guatemala by Tropiflora in the 90's. It has a beautiful xerographica shape with softer more lepidote leaves like riohondoensis. As it typically does, capitata dominates the bloom shape but the xerographica parentage pushes many bracts out of the sheaths adding lots of color to the spike
