Origins: found by Bill Baker in Jalisco, Mexico
Bloom: short to intermediate capitate inflorescence with purple flowers. The foliage turns deep red and the inflorescence and center of plant turn a brilliant yellow color
Light: Strong indirect or filtered light
Water: Spray or dunk once a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary
This is a capitata cultivar from Mexico that has a stunning color contrast when in bloom the reds and yellows produced are deep and rich, and can catch the eye from a distance. Large open rosette with slightly recurved wide and thick leaves. One of my personal favorite forms of capitata
