Acquired from Bird Rock Tropicals as Tillandsia schiedeana x, this plant has a cool shape and produces nice color. The way the leaves stack and grow erect leads me to believe itβs crossed with ionantha. The leaf stacking is dense and plant grows tight and upright. Upper foliage produces a nice blush during bloom, leaves are lepidote and it tends to enjoy dry conditions like a true xeric. Reminds me of a larger Tillandsia x rectifolia which makes sense given the parentage. Most people donβt have room in their collections for unnamed hybrids but if you do, this is a good one to consider
