Origins: Chiapas, Mexico
Bloom: Long, compound inflorescence with many glaborous yellow bracts and purple flowers
Light: Strong indirect or bright filtered light
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 2 hours as necessary. Grows well in a pot of bark or fast draining medium
A fasciculata-type species with a colorful bloom and uniquely yellow bracts. Foliage is semi-stiff to stiff and forms an open rosette with slightly recurved leaves. This one is easy to lose track of in a collection, and then it blooms and you can see it from across the garden!
