Origins: Southern US, Mexico, and Guatemala
Bloom: Fuschia colored inflorescence and bract with purple tubular flowers
Light: Adaptable, best in strong indirect light
Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours. Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary. This plant has very thin leaves which limits its ability to store water so it will need more water than many other air plants
Bartramii is one of many species considered a grass-type Tillandsia and is commonly mistaken for juncea, juncifolia, and Floridana. What separates bartramii is the beautiful fuschia hue it holds when placed in strong indirect light and during bloom, softening the industrial shape and natural color of this plant
