Tillandsia kautskyi hybrid (probably kautskyi x didisticha)
Origins: Imported hybrid, breeder unknown
Bloom: Short, simple or compound inflorescence with salmon colored bracts and light pink flowers

I literally gasped when I first saw these plants. Such a cool and unique shape, it's beefy, and has a cool leaf stacking pattern. This immediately became one of my favorite plants. Not 100% sure of the parentage because it came as kautskyi x, but after consulting a few other well respected folks, didisticha was the consensus for the likely pollen parent.
