Origins: Mexico, Guatemala

Bloom: Long, thin, red and yellow banded inflorescence with many bracts and purple tubular flowers

Light: Adaptable, best in indirect light

Ideal for: Outdoors

Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours.  Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary.  This plant has very thin leaves which limits its ability to store water so it will need more water than many other air plants

Similar to its other form T. fuchsii v. gracilis, T. fuchsii v. fuchsii is the older, cooler, more attractive sibling.  With thicker leaves and a rotund, symmetrical shape, this little one packs a powerful punch when it blooms.  Great as an accent on a table, candle holder, or shallow dish
